I have been on two cruises in my life. The first was to Alaska, and the second was to the Caribbean, which included a couple of stops in Bermuda.  The neat part of the Alaska trip was that most of the journey was close enough to the coast to see all kinds of beautiful sights. The Caribbean trip was highlighted by a jeep tour of Bermuda. You drive on the left side of the road there. The jeep was basic and small. Watching four adults trying to get in and out was entertaining, to say the least. It would have been a great video for America’s Funniest Home Videos.

There is never a shortage of food on a cruise ship, nor of something to do. They work hard at keeping you entertained the whole time. I imagine one could find something to do or eat 24 hours a day.  It is a great way to get away from it all for a few days.

Sometimes in life’s journey, we just need to get away from it all for a period of time. Maybe that whole idea of the Sabbath in the scriptures has something to say to us today.
