It is only six weeks until the traditional garden planting day of Good Friday. Time seems to rocket by. I can begin to see plants in pots, the drip irrigation inserted, and tomato cages in place. I am getting more excited by the day. Church, are your financial goals becoming clearer by the day?
Have you made plans to celebrate the end of the first financial quarter with giving statements and a cover letter celebrating all the good things happening because of faithful giving? Is there a plan for a special Easter offering this year? Is your yearly goal to exceed last year’s giving or more?
What are some of the obstacles that may prevent you from having the kind of harvest that you envision? Now is the time to address them. I know that with my garden and yard I will battle weeds, reluctant plants, insects, and moisture problems. I will be addressing them with weed and feed for the lawn, spot insect treatments, and irrigation as needed. I think I am ready, what about you?
