Foundation Funds Support Churches in Telling the Story of Jesus

The story of Jesus and his love is at the heart of all that we do at the Foundation. Our purpose is to provide the resources needed for churches and individuals to tell the story of God’s love in Jesus Christ. We seek to provide the best returns on funds deposited with us, so that you can better share the good news with others.

You may invest with the Foundation through the Short Term Fund or the Long Term Fund. The names begin to spell out the differences between the two.  The Short Term Fund is like a savings account with no fees and no minimum deposit amount. Funds may be deposited or withdrawn at any time. The Investment and Finance Committee of the Foundation recently announced the Short Term Rate is rising to 2.75% as of April 1, 2019.

The Long Term Fund was established in 2012 to provide a place to invest permanent funds, such as scholarship endowments, held by the Foundation.  It also offers the same for churches and agencies of the annual conference. A very difficult fourth quarter in 2018 hurt the performance of the Long Term Fund, but the return from inception is 3.8%.  The good news is that January 2019 saw a 5.4% increase in the Fund.

The Long Term Fund has a minimum deposit requirement of $5,000 and money can only be invested at the beginning of each quarter. Withdrawals may only be made December 31 and June 30 with a five-day notice. There is a fee of ½% for funds up to $500,000.  Please contact us for more information.
