Telling The Story

Everything we do as Christians tells the story of Jesus and his love. Sometimes we do the telling with great intention and other times we miss the mark.  I want others to know about the good news of Jesus Christ. I want people to know the never-ending love made known in Jesus.  I desire for everyone to see the goodness of the Lord.  None of this will happen without a story-telling plan.

This includes providing the resources for communications and using communications to raise the necessary resources.  Some throw out the phrase, “It takes money to make money” in jest. There is some truth in the phrase. Ignoring resources for telling our stories of Jesus limits our reach.

I invite you to review your spending plan for communications. Maybe the best place to start is to create some kind of communications plan. Communications can include bulletin inserts, a newsletter, web page, social media, phone calls, and brochures.  You need not do them all. You do need to determine what is most effective in telling your story and The Story.  Then find the financial and personnel resources to make it happen.
