College Scholarship Application
Status: OPEN 1/2/2026
To be considered for a scholarship through the Methodist Foundation of Mississippi, applicants must meet at least one of the eligibility criteria listed below and submit all required documentation. ALL APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY 4/1/2026. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
Applicants must be an active member of:
- A Mississippi United Methodist Church (UMC), or
- A Mississippi church, formerly part of the Mississippi Conference of the UMC that is now:
- Global Methodist, or
- Independent Methodist, or
- Congregational Methodist, or
- Another Methodist church formerly affiliated with the UMC, or
- A church that holds an active investment account with the Methodist Foundation of Mississippi (short-term or long-term).
- Applicants may qualify if they are an active participant in a Wesley Foundation campus ministry.
Applicants whose church is outside of Mississippi may qualify if:
- The church is part of the Methodist or Wesleyan heritage, and
- The church holds an active investment account with the Methodist Foundation of Mississippi (short-term or long-term).
This option applies only to applicants whose church is located outside of Mississippi.
All college applicants must submit a Pastor Certification Form signed by a pastor from one of the eligible churches or ministries listed above.
Non-seminary graduate and undergraduate students are eligible for up to four scholarship awards. Deadline is April 1st. Please contact us at jennifer@methodistfm.org if you have any questions.
*Residency requirement waived for International students, students active at Court Street United Methodist Church, or students with family ties to Copiah County.
You will need:
- Current Photo (click here for guidelines)
- Essay: (New students: About you, your faith, your perception of generosity, your life goals & the legacy you would like to leave) (Returning students: updates about you, faith, generosity, & how the Methodist Foundation of Mississippi is helping you achieve your goals & how it has enabled you to leave a legacy.)
- Resume (Resumes must include either College or High School:
- Organizational membership
- Leadership positions
- Sports, band, or other activities
- Honors and Awards
- Community Involvement
- Work Experience
- If Graduating High School, your resume must also include:

- Graduation Date
